CloudNotte was built in Port Harcourt for the way Nigerian schools actually run: three terms, continuous assessment plus exams, WAEC and NECO grading, parents who pay by bank transfer, and internet that cannot be trusted on exam day. Most of the 3,000+ schools on CloudNotte are in Nigeria, from one-campus nursery and primary schools to secondary school groups across Lagos, Rivers, the FCT, Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna, Abia and Bayelsa.
The calendar, the exams, the grading, the money and the law your school already lives with — handled, not worked around.
Three terms a year (September to December, January to April, April/May to July) with a mid-term break in each. Sessions, terms and promotion run on this calendar out of the box; schools that run a different calendar set their own dates.
Continuous assessment (tests, assignments, projects) plus the end-of-term exam, with the split the school chooses — 40/60 and 30/70 are both common. Grades follow WAEC-style bands or the school's own scale, cumulative averages carry across terms, positions are computed per class and per subject, and report sheets include the affective and psychomotor domain ratings and class-teacher and head-teacher comments Nigerian parents expect. Early-grade (nursery and lower primary) report sheets are separate.
Fees are set per class and per term in naira. Each student gets an invoice; parents pay by bank transfer to a custom account number, by card, or in cash recorded at the bursary, and the school sees who has paid, who is owing and how much, in real time. Receipts are automatic, fee reminders go out to parents, and payroll runs from the same accounting module.
The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (and the NDPR before it) makes a school responsible for the personal data of its students and staff. CloudNotte gives every user their own login and role, keeps an audit trail of who changed what, and lets the school export its own data at any time.
Internet and power are unreliable in much of the country, and exam day is when they fail. CloudNotte's Offline CBT runs a complete exam on a school computer or local server with no internet and syncs results when a connection returns; the Secure CBT app does the same for proctored exams. The parent app and school portal are built for slow and shared connections.
Results line up with the bodies your school answers to.
Senior secondary leaving exam. Report sheets use the A1–F9 scale and the subject combinations schools prepare for.
Same grading family; schools that sit both keep one gradebook.
Computer-based since 2013. CloudNotte CBT lets SS3 students practise on screen in the exam format, online or offline.
Junior secondary leaving exam; JSS3 cumulative results and transcripts are generated from the same records.
Admission entrance tests can be run as CBT and results used in the online admission flow.
Start with results or fees and switch on the rest when you are ready. It is one product with one login.
