UNIQUE FRIENDS SCHOOLSLesson Note: Jesus' Preparation for His Ministry
Class: BASIC 2 Subject: C.R.S Topic: Jesus' Preparation for His Ministry
Objectives:
Introduction: Hello kids! Today, we're going to learn about Jesus and how He prepared for His special work on earth. You know how sometimes we prepare for big events or tasks? Like studying for a test or practicing a new skill? Well, Jesus also prepared for His ministry, and we're going to explore how He did it.
What is Ministry? Ministry is when someone serves or helps others, sharing God's love and message with them.
It's means being a helper or a messenger for God. Jesus' ministry was to teach people about God's love, heal the sick, and show us how to live a good life.
Events that Prepared Jesus for His Ministry:
Jesus prayed and studied: Jesus often went to the temple to pray and learn from the scriptures. This helped Him understand God's plan and prepare for His ministry.
The Baptism of Jesus Christ:
When Jesus was about 30 years old, He went to the River Jordan to be baptized by John the Baptist. Baptism is a special ceremony where we show that we want to follow God and be clean from our sins.
As Jesus was baptized, something happened! The heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit came down like a dove. A voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." This was like a big confirmation that Jesus was the Son of God and was ready to start His ministry.
Conclusion: Jesus' preparation for His ministry was very important. He grew up in a good family, learned a trade, prayed, and studied. His baptism was a special event that showed He was ready to start His ministry. We can learn from Jesus' example by preparing ourselves to serve others and share God's love with those around us.
