Topic: Revision on Prayer Positions

Objectives:

• To recall the different prayer positions in Christianity
• To understand the significance of each prayer position
• To apply the knowledge of prayer positions in daily prayer life

Lesson Note:

 Explain the five prayer positions: 

(i) Standing: This position is often used during praise and worship. It symbolizes respect and adoration for God. 

(ii) Kneeling: This position is used during confession and repentance. It shows humility and surrender to God. 

(iii) Prostrating: This position is used during times of intense prayer and intercession. It demonstrates complete surrender and dependence on God. 

(iv) Lying down: This position is not commonly used in Christian prayer, but it can be used during times of rest and meditation. 

(v) Sitting: This position is often used during quiet time and reflection. It allows you to be  comfortable and relaxed.

Encourage students to share their favorite prayer position and why they prefer it.

Class Work:

1. Write a short note on three position of each prayers

Assessment:

• Participation in class discussion and demonstration of prayer positions (20%)
• Assignment 1: short essay on the importance of prayer (30%)
• Assignment 2: prayer journal with reflections (30%)
