Lesson Outline:
Introduction
Engage students:
Ask, “Has anyone ever seen an insect in your house? What kind of insect was it?”
Show pictures of common insects and ask students to name them.
Introduce the topic: “Today, we are going to learn about harmful insects and how they can cause problems at home.”
Instruction
Explain Harmful Insects and Their Damage:
Cockroaches: They spread germs, cause allergies, and sometimes eat food.
Ants: Some ants can invade food and make homes in walls or floors.
Termites: They can damage wooden furniture, doors, and walls.
Flies: They carry bacteria and can spread disease by landing on food.
Bedbugs: They bite and cause itchy red spots.
