God is our Father and we are His children.He loves us and cares for us.He protects us and provides for our needs.As God's children,we are to love,obey,serve Him and do His will. We are also to love our fellow human beings.
However,many times we fail to do what God asks us to do. We disobey God and sin against Him.To bring us back to Himself, God sent His son,Jesus Christ to the world to die for our sins on the cross. All who receive and believe in Christ Jesus,He gives power to become children of God. When we accept Jesus into our lives, we are born into the family of God.
STEP 2:The Significance of Being in Christ
(I)As members of God's family, we worship God and do things together. (ii) We live in peace and harmony. (iii) We have the assurance of salvation.
(iv) We become children of God.
(v) We can ask for things from God through Jesus Christ and know that we will receive them from God.
STEP 3:Attitude of Children of One Father
As children from same parents,there are some duties we are to perform towards our parents and one another.These duties are:
(i) We show love to our mother by helping with household chores like:washing of plates,sweeping the floor,running errands cooking,fetching water,washing and ironing of clothes.
(ii) We show love to our father by helping him at work,on the farm,by running errands.
(iii) We show love to our brothers and sisters by playing together,reading books with them,helping with their homework,caring for them,reading the Bible and praying together.
STEP 4:The Importance of Living in Peace
As children of God,it is important that we Iive in peace with one another regardless of our religion because we are from one father.
The importance of living in peace includes
(i) It brings about progress.
(ii) It brings unity.
(iii) It brings joy.
(iv) It brings love.
(v) It makes us share with one another.
(vi) It removes fear.
