Sharon Stars International SchoolWays through Which God Speaks to us God who created us,loves us and wants to relate with us.He spoke to Moses as a man speaks to his friendand He continues to speak to us daily. The various ways in which God speaks to us are:
1. Through dreams
2.Through vision
3.Through His voice,
4.Through His prophets,
5.Through His word.
The Bible is God's word.When we read His word,He speaks to our hearts.At times,God Speaks to us through an inner Witness;for this reason,we are able to know that something is either right or wrong.
Step 2: The Reasons Why God Speaks to Us
God speaks to us to lead us in the right way and to tell us what will happen in the future. God can also speak to us when He wants to give us an assignment. The story of how and why God spoke to Samuel is a good example. Samuel was the son of Elkanah. He lived in the temple at Shiloh where Eli was the high priest.
STEP 3:Jacob's Encounter with God Jacob was the son of Isaac;his brother's name was Esau.He cheated Esau when he tookhiis birthright and blessings. He later ran away to the house of Laban, his mother's brother.While there,he married Laban's daughters,had children and was very rich.God spoke to him to return to his father's house.Jacob obeyed and left with his wives,children,and all that he had. On the way, he sent his wives,children and belongings across a stream. He was then left alone. In the night,Jacob wrestled with a man till day break.The man touched Jacob's thigh and pulled it out of its joint, but Jacob would not allow him to go.The man later changed Jacob's name from Jacob to Israel,for he said Jacob wrestled with God and won.He blessed Jacob.
STEP 4: The Right Attitudes to Show When God Speaks to Us God relates with His children in different ways.We therefore, need to show a right attitude in order to understand what He is saying to us. Also, we must always be in His presence. Wemust be humble and patient to listen to Him.We must obey God's words.

Moral Lesson : *God speaks to us in various ways.We must be patient to hear Him when He speaks. *We must obey what He says,when we hear God’s voice we should listen attentively.
*The Bible is God's word.To hear God's voice ,we must read the Bible everyday.
