BEST START INTERNATIONAL ACADEMYHere is your creative class note for Kindergarten 2 on "Counting and Identifying Numbers 1-70."
Hi K2! Are you ready for some number fun? Today, we're going to become number detectives! We'll learn to count all the way from 1 to 70 and recognize what each number looks like. Knowing your numbers helps you every single day, from counting your toys to knowing how many friends are playing!
Counting is like singing a special song with numbers! We say numbers in order, one after the other, to find out "how many" things we have. When you count, it's a good idea to touch each item as you say its number. This helps you keep track and not miss any!
Let's try counting some items:

We can count beyond 10! After 10 comes 11, then 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20! Can you hear how the numbers change? We keep counting like this, all the way up to 70. Think of it like climbing a staircase, one step at a time!
Identifying numbers means knowing what each number symbol looks like, even when it's not in a line. It's like recognizing your friends' faces! When you see the symbol '5', you know it means five things. When you see '23', you know it means twenty-three.
Look at these numbers. Can you say their names?

When you see a number, you should be able to say its name. For example, if you see '45', you should know it's "forty-five." This is super important because numbers are everywhere!

Imagine you're at the park and want to count how many swings there are, or how many children are playing on the slide. You use your counting skills! If there are 8 swings, you know it's the number '8'. If you see a number '6' on a jersey, you know that player's number is six!
Can you count the number of windows in your classroom? What is the biggest number you can find on a page in your favorite storybook? Try to count your crayons or toy cars all the way up to 70!
