SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to :

*Recite Psalms 23

*Explain how Jesus demonstrated the qualities of a good shepherd.

*Narrate the importance of a shepherd.

Instructional Materials: Bible, pictures or drawing of a shepherd tending his sheep, the photograph of Jesus the good shepherd.

NOTE

How Jesus demonstrated the qualities of a good shepherd

1.By laying down his life for the salvation of his sheep

2.By feeding the five thousand

3.By healing the sick and the infirm ones

4.By delivering the captives and the oppressed

5.By teaching us how to pray to the Father

6.By forgiving the strayed sheep and doing everything to restore them back

 Importance of a shepherd

1.The safety and welfare of the flock

2.The nurturing and ,training of the flock

3.The feeding and caring for the flock

4.The restoration of any lost sheep
