Sentences are groups of words that expresses a statement, question, command or exclamation. The following signs are used at the end of the sentences.
. - full stop
? - question mark
!- exclamation mark
Types of sentences
There are four types of sentences each of this sentences allow us to express ourselves clearly.
1. Declarative sentence ( statement)
2. Interrogative sentence (question)
3. Imperative sentence ( command)
4. Exclamatory sentence.
DECLARATIVE SENTENCE are simple statements and end with period.
Example:
1. The girl walked home
2. I love honey
3. My sister is a nurse.
INTERROGATIVE SENTENCE are sentences that ask questions and end with question marks.
Examples:
1. What is your name?
2. How old are you?
3. Are you okay?
IMPERATIVE SENTENCE are sentences that force someone to do something. Many if these sentences end with exclamatory marks and some end with periods.
Examples:
1. Don't touch me.
2. Stop disturbing me.
3. Please, stay away from me.
EXCLAMATORY SENTENCE are simple statements that express strong emotions. They provide information and end with exclamation marks.
Examples:
1. Don't talk, get out!
2. I'm so mad at him!
3. You are late again!

The English Alphabet consist of 26 letters
A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,X,Y,Z. In all the letters besides vowels ( a,e,i,o,u)are called consonant b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z.

1. /b/ as in bed , bag, ban, bam, bat etc.
2. /c/ as in cat, car, cap, cow, cup, cab etc
3. /d/ as in dog, dad, day, dam, den etc
4. /f/ as in fan, fat, fee, fin, fed etc.
CONSONANT CLUSTERS
Consonant clusters mean having together in words.
Examples of two (2) letters consonant clusters are bl, cl, fl,gl,pl, sl,br, cr,dr etc.
FOCUS CONSONANT CLUSTERS
1. bl- blue, black, block, blind etc
2. br- bread, brown, bring, break etc
3. ch- church, chair, chalk, choir etc
4. cl- class, club, cloth,clap, clock etc
5. cr- cross, crown, crab, craw, crush etc
6. dr- draw, dress, drop, drink, dry etc
7.fl- flag, flog, floor, flood etc
SIMPLE SENTENCES IN CONSONANT CLUSTERS
1. This blade is very sharp
2. I ate bread this morning
3. Frogs live in water etc

1. Explain the term sentences?
