Greet the pupils warmly.
Ask:
Have you ever seen people dancing in special clothes during celebrations?
Do you know that different parts of Nigeria have special festivals?
Tell them:
“Today, we will learn about three special Nigerian festivals: Eyo, Odu, and Sharo.”
Lesson Presentation
1. Eyo Festival
Celebrated in Lagos State
People wear white clothes and white hats
It is also called Adamu Orisha Play
It is a happy festival with dancing and walking around the city

2. Odu Festival
Celebrated by the Ijaw people (Riverine areas)
It is a traditional festival
It shows respect for culture and ancestors
People sing, dance, and drum

3. Sharo Festival
Celebrated by the Fulani people in Northern Nigeria
It is a festival of bravery
Young men show they are strong and brave
The community gathers to watch
