STEP 1: SAFE WAYS OF HANDLING CHEMICALS
Because of the great harm that the wrong handling of chemicals can cause humans, the environment, plants and animals, the following points must be taken into consideration when handling or distributing chemicals.
Every chemical is distinct, having different components that make it up and differing in the way it is to be used. It is therefore important to label the details on the containers in which a chemical is being transported.

The use of symbols always helps when chemicals are being handled. The use of symbols is the easiest way to identify different category of chemicals. For example, the symbol or sign of toxic is skull and crossbones. This indicates that the chemical is poisonous.
