LESSON CONTENT
STEP 1: MEANING OF NEED AND WANT
A need is something that is essential for a person to function effectively, it is a necessity to that person.
WANT: A want is something that an individual wishes to have, but may not necessarily needed.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NEED AND WANT

STEP 2: SHOPPING TIPS
Here are few shopping tips that will help you to make good decisions about needs and wants.
1. Create a list of items you wish to purchase.
2. Budget for each of the items
3. Separate needs from wants.
4. Calculate all costs.
5. Decide in advance exactly what you want and what you can afford.
6. Gather information from family and friends on their experiences about the product, item or service.
7. Get price quotations from several sellers of the product.
8. Make sure the seller or service provider has appropriate license.
9. Do not purchase an item until you are sure you really need it.
10. Buy quality items

12. Explore your wardrobe, if you want to go shopping.
STEP 3: IMPULSE BUYING
Impulse buying is buying an item, product or service suddenly and without thinking.
Impulse buying is a huge waste of money.
STEP 4: AFTER SALES SERVICE
After sales service that is made available to the buyer after he/she has purchased an item, product or service.
Such services include warranty, installation, maintenance and operation of product.
WARRANTY: A warranty is an after-sales service that guides the use of a product that has been purchased and allows the consumer to return the product if found to be faulty or not performing according to the specification within a specified time.
A warranty allows a consumer to get a refund, replacement or repair of the items.
INSTALLATION
Installation is the act of fixing equipment or furniture in position so that it can be used.
One of the after-sales service is the installation of the product for free or a minimal fee.
