St. Peter's teaching on persecution: St. Peter acknowledged the factor that christians may have to suffer various trials to test the genuineness of their faith. As Gold passes through fire to be refined, so also persecution to christians.

St. peter advised christains who are facing persecution to rejoice for they are sharing the suffering of christ. And they would also rejoice with him in his glory. However, if any christain should suffer persecution he shoild not be ashamed, instead he should glorify God while suffering for christ judgement. If they reproached for christ sake, they are blessed because the spirit of God's glory is upon them.
Virtues christains should manifest to show their joy
1. They should not conform to carnal desires of men of the world.
2. The fear of God should be their watch word because God is an impartial judge.
3. They should remain forever in their christain faith un-shaken by any wind persecution.
4. They should always praise God in time of sadness and joy
