Dignity of labor is therefore, the respect and honor attached to all type of honest work people do for a living. It is important that we do not look down on any work. Dignity of labor has to do with being proud of the work one is doing for a living and being prepared to work to the best of one's ability.
In St. Paul's epistle to the Thessalonians ,he warned them against laziness and idleness .he advised the Christians should work hard for for their living and avoid begging.
Paul further reminded the Thessolonians of the command he gave them when he was with them ''if anyone will not work, let him not eat''.
The aim was to encourage the person as a Christian to be hard working.
WAYS CHRISTIANS SHOULD UPHOLD THE IDEAL OF DIGNITY OF LABOUR
1. Christian should be proud of their jobs.
2.Dignity of labor should be emphasized
3. Christians should not be beggar or extortionist
4. christians should be willing to take legitimate job to earn their living
REASONS WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD BE GAINFULLY EMPLOYED
1. Employed christians would not be a burden to anyone ; parents, friends, relatives.
2. Such christian become assets to themselves and others.
3. They are serving GOD without murmuring or grudging.
4. They can contribute meaningfully to the development and other prayed to of the churches.
