Shutting down is the process of closing all programs and turning off the computer system

Shutting down a computer when not in use is a safety measure 

Shut down options

1. Shut down: Completely turns off the computer

2. Restart: Turns off and turns on the computer again

3. Sleep: puts the computer in low power mode

4. Log Off: Signs out the current user without turning off the system

How to shut down a computer 

1. Close all open windows or files

2. Click on the start menu 

3. Select the shut down button 

4. Wait for the screen to turn black 

5. Turn off the monitor 

6. Off the power switch if it is accessible
