DOXCOV ACADEMYCLASS: NURSERY THREE
Money is what we use to pay for things we need and want. When you go to the shop to buy a sweet, a biscuit, or a pencil, you give the shopkeeper money, and they give you the item. In Nigeria, our money is called the Naira (represented by the sign ₦) and the Kobo (represented by the letter k).
Money comes in two forms: Notes (which are made of special paper or plastic-like material called polymer) and Coins (which are made of metal). Even though we don't see coins very often today, they are still part of our money history!
Each note in Nigeria has a different color and a different picture of important people who helped our country. This helps us know how much each one is worth.
